climology August 3, 2024 Climbing in Norway Documenting my three-week climbing and sightseeing experience in Norway Me on a bat hang rest on Flagermusmannen 8a in Hanshelleren Cave, Flatanger, Norway

I've just gotten back from my 3-week climbing trip to Norway and although I'm happy to be back, I'll certainly miss the people and weather I got to experience there.

I got the chance to meet plenty of super nice people at the crag and watch Leo Bøe and Sébastien Bouin climb while I myself got humiliated on the wall (only having lead outside a time or two prior). The following weeks were full not only of climbing at Hans Cave, but also of Cards Against Humanity playing. berry picking and pie baking, Jackass watching, unsuccessful fishing, puzzle making, lecture receiving, colorful mormonism discussion, and lots of hiking. Norway is a beautiful country and I would definitely go back if could. One of my counselors, Aaron (who runs Alpha Climbing) is great at making trips fun and keeping teenagers alive and fed the whole time (thanks in addition to Selma, our sous chef). I was also blessed most notably with the heavenly creation that is Brown Cheese (brunost) at the recommendation of a friend. I had a wonderful time with many wonderful people.
